VIDEO OF THE WEEK: TROY REDFERN 'WAITING FOR YOUR LOVE'

A beast of a track filled with gutsy biker-rock riffs and oodles of dirty slide.

"Waiting For Your Love” is the first single taken from Troy’s forthcoming album “…The Fire Cosmic!” released August 6th. The single is due for release on May 21st

Described by Troy as “bombastic, sassy blues rock boogie,” Troy’s single is a nod to Tex Mex rock and rollers Billy Gibbons and Z.Z. Top.

Troy’s album was recorded at the Rockfield Studios where Queen’s Sheer Heart Attack and A Night At The Opera albums, single Bohemian Rhapsody, were immortalised.

The single features Troy’s infectious slide guitar playing and distinctive vocals, plus guitarist Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal who played on Guns N’ Roses 2008 album Chinese Democracy and toured with the band for nine years. Also featured on the album is Darby Todd on drums (The Darkness).

Troy’s production style is in the heavy rock vein of Blackstone Cherry, and also has a similar rock guitar vibe to The Cadillac Three and Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown. The new single and album were mixed at Abbey Road Studios.

Troy is also a member of the Southern Blues Rock Supergroup RHR (Redfern, Hutchinson, Ross) who released two critically acclaimed albums Mahogany Drift (2017) and Hotel Toledo (2018).
