Søndag talk about their new track #titans
PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF FOR US WHO ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH YOU AND YOUR MUSIC AND TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF.
We are Søndag, a four pieces band, and we come from Italy. We identify our genre of music as a Low-Tuned rock with influences from the 90’s.
TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR NEW SINGLE?
We recorded the single Titan 3 month ago. It’s basically about all the people that hide themselves behind a computer keyboard insulting other people and believing they have the truth in their hands.
WHAT INSPIRED THE SINGLE?
The huge amount of people that mislead on a lot of topics on social media feeding hate and greed.
WHAT RECORD CHANGED YOUR LIFE AND WHY?
Personally (Ric) an album that changed the way I hear music is “Song For The Deaf” of Queens Of The Stone Age. It’s a concept album and was recorded in a weird way, for example, to record the drums they recorded separately the shells and then the cymbals.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE MUSIC VIDEO FILMED BY YOUR BAND OR ANOTHER ARTIST?
I really like every single video made by Max Moore, for example, Code Orange videos.
WHAT WOULD WE FIND YOU DOING WHEN YOU'RE NOT MAKING MUSIC?
Just doing our day job or relaxing watching some film or having a beer or both.
DO YOU GET NERVOUS PERFORMING LIVE, IF SO HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THAT?
I get nervous sometimes when the audience is bigger than usual, but it’s also motivating to do always better.
HOW DID YOU FORM THE BAND?
Marcello and Riccardo had already a band before Søndag, called EDEMA. Soon they called in me and Marco and we started to write new music.
HOW DO YOU WRITE? - DO YOU HAVE A KEY SONGWRITER, OR DO YOU ALL WORK TOGETHER?
Me and Marcello usually make demos at home, then we rehearse the songs all together to finish it and give “the band’s touch”
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
We listen to a different kind of music, watch movies. We try to get the most out of everything adapting it to something that can help us create new content.
