We are Show Your Face, a Groove Hardcore metal band from Karditsa, Greece. Currently, the band consists of Huge (vocals, bass), Kostas Karageorgos (guitar), Achilleas Koutras (guitar). We have been performing in many Live Stages in Greece and abroad and have released 3 albums, one demo and one single :

2) TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR NEW ALBUM OR SINGLE?
This year we are releasing our 4th album! At the moment we are in the studio recording. This album has strong Deathcore influences and includes 8 songs. 7 new songs and our Single “Shot at dawn”, which is already available on YouTube! We are planning to release one more Song before the release of the Album, so STAY TUNED!!!
WHAT INSPIRED THE ALBUM OR SINGLE?
The main idea was to reflect on the struggle of people trying to improve their lives today but finding themselves helpless. Against the agony that everyone only cares for themselves.
It’s a tribute to all these people, to feel they are heard and they are not alone. We are all together in this. We want you to come forward and SHOW YOUR FACE!!!
CAN YOU SUM UP THE ALBUM IN A FEW WORDS?
This will definitely be the most extreme album we have ever done! More aggressive and fast, but based in our original groove style. The highlights are the transitions between Deathcore and melodic. When it comes to production you will see the attention to detail and we are excited to see the reactions of the people when it comes out!
WHAT RECORD CHANGED YOUR LIFE AND WHY?
I would like to say the “Black Album” from Metallica. It’s the unprecedented emotions that this album creates. I think we can all relate to that! Our first hearings were classic 80s metal. These songs, with so much aggression, was a way out for us and could give an alternative to our lives. Our music influences are also the onrush for the diversity and range you see in our songs!
WHAT WOULD WE FIND YOU DOING WHEN YOU'RE NOT MAKING MUSIC?
Apart from our band we also have our full-time jobs, which give us the means to focus in our music, creating and playing the music we love! For example, Huge runs his own recording studio!
DO YOU GET NERVOUS PERFORMING LIVE, IF SO HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THAT?
In our first live performances, the excitement to play in front of an audience was something we had never felt before. But we loved so much to play in front of an audience that we have never felt nervous. I would call it adrenaline! To go up there, on stage and give it all! But since we have been performing and playing music for more than 20 years now, I would like to say that the strongest feeling is the reminder that we have created our band based on the energy we receive from our audience and this is what we love to do. This is our passion!
HOW DID YOU FORM THE BAND?
Show Your Face band was originally formed as a 4 member band, back in 2007. We were restless and driven by our passion for music.
The story is actually funny. It all started quite randomly, as an experimental, side project. Our guitarist, Achilleas Koutras had the idea to try something different musically. He and Vissaris Papaioannou (our first drummer) had written the first song “Innocent cries”. They were looking for a singer, as well, for the band at the time. So one day, I was hanging out with them at the studio as they were rehearsing and I just picked up the page with the lyrics and sang along the song they were playing with them and… that was it! The beginning of Show your Face band! And here we are 14 years later! In 2013 our other guitarist, Kostas Karageorgos, joined the band which lead to the form that we have today!
HOW DO YOU WRITE? - DO YOU HAVE A KEY SONGWRITER, OR DO YOU ALL WORK TOGETHER?
It is a team effort. We all write music and songs for the band. The best ideas, though, come from the rehearsals! We bring our ideas to the rehearsals and turn them into a song! The process is often times difficult, but this is the way we write and compose the music we love! It is this mixture that gives the maximum result! We don’t like putting boundaries in our music and we like changing tunings in our songs. From an aggressive riff to a melodic bridge and so on! Important for us, is to keep our original style and be true to ourselves!
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
Truth be told, music comes from within. Everything that makes us mad… injustice in the world, towards the weak, lack of meritocracy as well as our personal experiences and principles. We want to stand for everyone who feels helpless and shout to SHOW YOUR FACE!
WHAT IS NEXT?
Right now we are in the studio recording for our new album and our main priority is the result to be as we have imagined it and the world to feel our music and listen to our message. We are also looking
for a new drummer and as soon as possible we want to be back on stage with an international tour, hopefully, next summer!
