TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF.
Rabid Hood is a brand new melodious Hard Rock band from Vestland/Norway. The band has extensive experience in the Metal and Rock n Roll stage with members from Helheim, ex-Taake, Trelldom, Nattverd, Aventyr and Spitfire++. which creates a solid foundation for success and I think this will be well received by both new and old hard rock listeners who appreciates good music.
TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR NEW ALBUM OR SINGLE?
Hard-hitting melodious hard rock with the influence of heavy metal for all hard rockers to enjoy.
WHAT INSPIRED THE ALBUM OR SINGLE?
We wanted to make hard-hitting hard rock EP we hope will be well received by both new and old hard rock listeners who appreciate good music.
CAN YOU SUM UP THE ALBUM IN A FEW WORDS?
Hard-hitting, controlled sort of insanity, melodious hard rock, the reverb guitar solos, that makes you feel successful.
WHAT RECORD CHANGED YOUR LIFE AND WHY?
We were all born in the 70's so we like what we grew up with ... like Motorhead, AC / DC, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath etc. So there is a lot of albums that changed our lives.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE MUSIC VIDEO FILMED BY YOUR BAND OR ANOTHER ARTIST?
I Wanna Rock by Twisted Sister is a fabulous music video.
WHAT WOULD WE FIND YOU DOING WHEN YOU'RE NOT MAKING MUSIC?
Family life is probably the most important thing and classic cars and old classic movies, fishing is
probably one thing that is high on the list for some of us here. Mountain hiking, exercise is something that is important and to stay in shape. We are normal people living normal lives like everyone else and we are happy about that.
DO YOU GET NERVOUS PERFORMING LIVE, IF SO HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THAT?
That is not such a big problem as it used to be you take it easy have a few beers and go out there and rock.
HOW DID YOU FORM THE BAND?
Aven, Olsen and Martinussen started recording some demo songs a few years ago. The songs remained untouched until we got Venås and Igland in the band in the summer of 2021 and then the ball started to roll.
HOW DO YOU WRITE?
Aven writes the songs on guitar, and Olsen makes lyrics and melody. It`s about whatever comes first in our minds and the results Are great in our minds.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
I think you get inspiration from the music you like and listen to on a daily basis but we are trying to make our own sound. When you try to make a good song it always will be affected of what lies in your subconscious even if you try hard not to. With members with experience from heavy metal, hard rock and so on it will always affect what you try to write so there is no specific inspiration behind the songs but trying to make our own sound.
WHAT IS NEXT?
We are in the studio and working on new songs and we have many new songs ready for production. Looking forward to showing them off.
