Hi we are ninebanks from Sunderland UK! We started up in April 2021
Jack woods - singer/bassist age 29
Callum Cowie - guitar age 32
Lewis foster - guitar age 30
Jack McGowan - drums age 26
We are all born and bred in Sunderland and have slight connections from us going to the same school and being in older bands in the past. We all love pop punk so when drummer jack got in touch with callum about starting a band he knew jack from a a previous band and knew he was a great song writer for pop punk
We then added Lewis who has been a long time friend of callum
We had our first practice in April and from then on the band has come together very nicely
TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR NEW ALBUM OR SINGLE?
Our debut single and our first single “innocent” is out now which is pretty much self recorded apart from the drums in a live studio, we done the rest in Lewis back room and are lucky enough to have German based injected smiles studio mixing mastering and producing the track. We were amazed how well the track has came out and we will be working with him on the next release
Innocent is a very uptempo old school pop punk song you would except to hear on tony hawk sound track! Full of energy, catchy chorus and about a problem in a relationship
WHAT INSPIRED THE ALBUM OR SINGLE?
We were inspired for the love of pop punk. When jack wrote the track and we played it we thought it was a perfect song to show people what we are about! We have all been out of bands for about 5 years so to actually release a song what is the genre we are after has definitely got the inspiration buzz back on for us

As a band so many different ones! But would have to say blink 182 Dammit just for the simple the fact how raw it was and so punky

Playing computer games like warzone which we spend a lot of time doing like nerds haha going to see Sunderland A.F.C. play, playing handball or motorcross. Watching documentary
DO YOU GET NERVOUS PERFORMING LIVE, IF SO HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THAT?
Sure every band would get nervous playing live! But that’s part of the package, we have had the experience of playing live so the nerves don’t get to us as much as we love what we are doing.

HOW DO YOU WRITE? - DO YOU HAVE A KEY SONGWRITER, OR DO YOU ALL WORK TOGETHER?
Jack woods is the song writer so we work of what he has. He normally has the basic guitar structure down then we improvise off that
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
Life events, cars, girls, pop punk music, guitars and just having the passion to want to play music
WHAT IS NEXT?
Next up is to start cementing our name out there and get another track released before the years out! We have plenty of songs to recorded so we want to get as many as we can out there which will hopefully get our name out more! Next year we would love to go on a UK tour supporting any established band
