"OUR DRIVE TO BE THE BEST, OUR LOVE OF MUSIC AND THE FIGHT FOR OUR SCENE" GET INSPIRED BY EPHEMERA

PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF FOR US WHO ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH YOU AND YOUR MUSIC AND TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF.

We are a 4 piece hardcore/metalcore band from Leeds/Bradford. We formed in the pandemic and made an EP, which we learned how to play live, once we were legally allowed to practice in a room together. We have a cathartic vibe, challenging angst vocals, over riffs and breakdowns, with a focus on mental health and the band unites with a unified statement of discontent and anti-establishment. Hardcore in its refined form.

TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR NEW ALBUM OR SINGLE?

We have just released our new EP "Somewhere between order and chaos" the lead single "Sick" has been doing the rounds on the radio and was actually just featured on radio 1's introducing rock show. We are really proud of this EP and as been met with great reception.

WHAT INSPIRED THE ALBUM OR SINGLE?

To show what we are about as a band.

CAN YOU SUM UP THE ALBUM IN A FEW WORDS?

We have had it described as dirty MySpace hardcore, so we will go with that, aha.

WHAT RECORD CHANGED YOUR LIFE AND WHY?

For me personally (Adam, bass) it was Slipknot's self Titled. For the time it came out and who I was at the time, it helped me understand where I was in life and where i wanted to go, changed everything.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE MUSIC VIDEO FILMED BY YOUR BAND OR ANOTHER ARTIST?

We had so much fun filming our music video for "Sick" as it was totally DIY and exactly what we wanted to do.

WHAT WOULD WE FIND YOU DOING WHEN YOU'RE NOT MAKING MUSIC?

Being in the band is probably all our biggest downtime. 2 members of the band run a tattoo shop so when they are not making music they are creating art in others ways.

DO YOU GET NERVOUS PERFORMING LIVE, IF SO HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THAT?

We all have our own little things we do before going onstage, to get ready and shake out any nerves and we leave each other to it. I think it's a good thing as it's shows you care. Once you accept you may get nervous and have your own routine to help with that it turns into good energy for when you perform.

HOW DID YOU FORM THE BAND?

Chris (guitarist)and mason (vocals) wrote the first EP in the pandemic as a creative outlet in lockdown, once restrictions lifted Adam (bass) and Olly (drums) joined to jam the songs live and we have been going from strength to strength.

HOW DO YOU WRITE? - DO YOU HAVE A KEY SONGWRITER, OR DO YOU ALL WORK TOGETHER?

Our guitarist Chris will record riffs and ideas, then we will jam them out at practice and work on bits or get rid of bits, then chris will use that to make arough demo which we keep on jamming until we have the song.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

Our drive to be the best, our love of music and our fight for the scene.

WHAT IS NEXT?

Working on a full length album
