NEW MUSIC: THE QUEEN OF DEATH GOSPEL LOUISE LEMON RETURNS WITH 'DEVIL'

Soulful and deliciously dark, Louise Lemón returns with 'Devil'. There's something comfortably vintage about her reverb-heavy vocals, and the simple accompaniment, but don't let it fool you; this is another siren song from the Queen of Death Gospel. 'Devil' is another brutally honest track from the Swedish singer. If you want some modern music that stimulates your brain and your emotions, look no further than Louise Lemón.

INFO:

Louise Lemón established herself the Queen of Death Gospel with her latest full length album ’A Broken Heart Is An Open Heart’, a dark pop album taking cues from the 60s and 70s psych-rock and soul era, produced and mixed alongside regular collaborator Randall Dunn (Chelsea Wolfe / Sunn O))) / Marissa Nadler) in Copenhagen and New York. Metal Hammer UK did a cover story on 'The Rise of Death Gospel' and listed Louise Lemón as the originator while making connections to artist like Chelsea Wolfe, Emma Ruth Rundle and A.A. Williams. Through ought the album the death-gospel-singer is heard combining her powerful vocals with spooky undertones and resounding guitars that illuminate the dark lyrics. Louise is now back with her new EP 'Devil' and we're getting a first taste in the first single and title track of the EP. The new single is drenched in heartcutting guitars and onerous sorrow set to tone by her soulful voice. “Making this EP I wanted to do it in an honest way and really make it a natural process. After making my last record, which was very produced, I wanted to head to the studio and record it straight as it sounds. I wanted to capture the live sound and I wanted to get the grittiness on tape. It is really interesting when creating you ignite your brain. So, when recording my last album, I already started to make the EP. Like a closure and beginning at once.” Louise explains. Supporting ’A Broken Heart Is An Open Heart’ Louise headed out on a European tour with Sólstafir (IS), several performances at Eurosonic ESNS (NL), a celebrated show at Roadburn Festival (NL) and a Scandinavian tour crowned with a successful performance at the popular Liseberg stage in Gothenburg late July. In the beginning of 2020 Louise just did her first headline tour in Spain which included TV and radio performances in Barcelona and Madrid. The new single 'Devil' is released digitally on March 27 and the EP with the same name is released on vinyl 12" and digitally in end of May, on the Swedish label Icons Creating Evil Art.
