FAITHLESS SINGER MAXI JAZZ HAS DIED AGED 65

In a statement earlier today, it has been confirmed that Maxi Jazz, singer and DJ with Faithless has passed away peacefully in his sleep aged 65.

Maxi Jazz was born in Brixton and started Djing in the 80s before forming Faithless in 1995 with Rollo and Sister Bliss. The band was best known for their hits 'Insomnia' and 'God is a DJ' which earned them a BRIT nomination for Best British Dance Act in 1999.

Aside from music, Jazz was also lifelong fan of Crystal Palace FC, and his bandmate Sister Bliss also described him as "a brilliant lyricist, a DJ, a Buddhist, a magnificent stage presence, car lover, endless talker, beautiful person, moral compass and genius"
