Evanescence 'Fallen 20th Anniversary Edition'

Unbelievably Twenty years ago Evanescence catapulted to stardom with their astonishing debut album 'Fallen.' In the early 00s the pop charts subsisted on a diet of male-dominated nu-metal, reality TV stars, and pop princesses. Then a female-fronted band from Arkansas came to shake things up.

Amy Lee's haunting and ethereal vocals were immediately recognizable. The band's soft piano rock melodies incorporated the cinematic and the symphonic and would not only transform rock but also draw a whole generation of pop lovers into the gritty world of rock.

This gateway album would go on to win Grammy's and top the charts with tracks like 'My Immortal,' 'Bring Me To Life' and 'Going Under.'

The 20th-anniversary edition includes remastered audio, and an expanded set that includes demos, B sides, unreleased live versions along with a treasure trove of unseen photos. 'Breath No More' and 'Missing' are well worth checking out along with 'My Immortal' (Strings Version' ) which was also previously unreleased. There's also a Super Deluxe Set arriving in February.

Amy Lee writes in her forward which sums up how fans feel about the landmark album: “20 years later, this album has never meant more. Fallen has been the soundtrack to first loves, epic heartbreak, self-realization, wedding days, last goodbyes, friendships, and countless other moments in so many lives…not to mention my own. I am forever humbled and grateful to be a part of it.”
