APOLLO JUNCTION MYSTERY ALBUM REVIEW

Apollo Junction's debut is rooted in carefree electro tones that collide on a cross roads somewhere between Walk the Moon and New Order, Oasis and The Killers. Begin and Born For Now give the album an anthemic feel, while What Are You Waiting For cranks up the guitars for a post punk pop track. Jayne demonstrates their abilities to play with sonic textures by using stripped back synths and bare vocals to create atmospherics before cranking up the guitars and drums once more. Hidden in the warming electro sounds and soft rock, there's a clear influence to Britpop too as evident in Always Remember. Their live shows have gathered plenty of fans, along with radio and festival appearances, and Mystery shows their instant appeal. With electro riffs for dancing and guitars for rocking, what's not to love?
