SONGWRITER ALEX FRANCIS RELEASES NEW SINGLE

‘MAKE BELIEVE’ Brand new single – out now - Listen HERE UK/EU TOUR SUPPORTING MELANIE C UK FESTIVAL DATES CONFIRMED incl. Isle Of Wight, Live At Leeds, 2000 Trees, Standon Calling, PennFest & Curious Arts

UK singer/songwriter Alex Francis has released his brand new single ‘Make Believe’ahead of upcoming UK and European tour dates, supporting pop legend Melanie C.

The song has a joyous acoustic ring of tracks by classic soul artists of the 70s. The upbeat care-free melody is tempered with the sadness of unrequited love and Alex's voice masterfully bridges the gap between the two emotions.

Alex was raised in the sleepy Hertfordshire town of Hitchin, but moved to Brighton to realise his musical aspirations in a more creative and exciting environment, before relocating to North London last year.

His emotive melding of rock and soul has won him fans far and wide. Amongst a string of live performances Alex opened for Samm Henshaw at his ‘Sound Experiment’ EP launch in August at The Lexington and also won the support of Time Out Magazine’s ‘Rising Stars’ artist programme last year, showcasing him at some of his highest profile shows to date.

Alex will be hitting the road in April, supporting Melanie C after providing guest vocals for the song ‘Hold On’, which appeared as a bonus track on the German release of her latest album Version Of Me. The tour includes seven UK dates, with a stop off in the capital at the Shepherds Bush Empire on April 8th.

Alex's debut EP lands later this year, following collaborative sessions in Nashville, Belfast and London throughout 2016. Catch him wowing scores of festival crowds throughout the UK this summer.
