Westlife frontman Shane Filan Announces support from Nikki Loy for Right Here Tour October 2016 Westlife’s Shane Filan has announced Nikki Loy as his artist of choice to support his 10 date Right Here Tour in October 2016. Shane was introduced to Nikki and was moved by her songwriting and heartfelt performance.
Shane said, “Nikki is a very engaging artist and I wanted the support slot on my tour to go to another talented musician making their way up, after the excellent performances from Joe Miles and Ben Montague who I have toured with before. I am very much looking forward to seeing her perform and I believe the audience will love her.” Nikki Loy turned her back on heartache and a life that didn’t fulfil, and now lives on the road in a campervan authentically living her dream with a new view from the window every night. While her songs are shaped by both pain and joy Nikki’s vocals will move and motivate. Having played such iconic venues as Ronnie Scott’s bar in London, Nikki is poised for mainstream success with the release of her most ambitious album yet, Pivotal on 14th October 2016. Nikki has released two previous albums Naked: Part 1 (2015) and A Little Less (2010).
The Right Here Tour is set to start in Dundee on Wednesday 12 October and follows the hugely successful first leg which took place in March 2016 and the success of the ‘Right Here’ album. The Irish pop sensation will be giving fans the opportunity to see him perform Westlife favourites as well as his own recent solo songs. The autumn Right Here Tour is being promoted and produced by LHG Live by arrangement with Solo and will see Shane Filan perform in some of the best loved theatres and venues all over the UK, giving fans the opportunity to see him doing what he loves best; entertaining and singing from the heart.
Shane Filan said, The Right Here Tour earlier in the year was fantastic and I was really proud of how we visited so many different venues and places that I hadn’t performed in before. It was incredible to see the reaction from fans, to have them there with me enjoying the songs and joining in! The tour was such as great experience and we have had so many requests for more dates that we thought we might as well give the fans what they want, and go back out on the road in October. I am really excited about this new phase of the tour and looking forward to seeing everyone.” The earlier Right Here Tour dates took place in March 2016 and visited 19 locations across the whole of the UK and Ireland.
Westlife had fourteen chart topping singles and forty-four million sales. Their career, Shane says, “fulfilled all of our dreams 1,000 times over.” It’s been a remarkable journey for a singer songwriter who grew up inspired by an admiration of Backstreet Boys and Michael Jackson.
