The video premiered with Gay Times who said, “We’ve always been a fan of Elle Exxe… The kick-ass, electro clash starlet is back with her amazing new video for ‘Lately’.” Not one to conform to the usual overtly sexualised stereotype of your average pop star, Elle Exxe gets lessons in how to work the camera by her very own, magnificently bearded, drag queen impersonator in the ‘Lately’ video.
‘Lately’ is the first single to be taken from Elle Exxe’s upcoming debut album Love Fuelled Hate, released on September 9th. Exploring the concept of love’s transition to hate, the album journeys through a gloriously twisted tale of flirtatious glamour and irresistible lust into the seedy depths of adulterous behaviour and its dramatic conclusion.
