ANNOUNCE NEW UK DATES including T In The Park
Kerrang! Award 2016 Nominees Best British Newcomers
DEBUT ALBUM ‘EVERYBODY WANTS’ OUT NOW
Critically lauded UK rockers The Struts – who have just been announced as Best British Newcomer nominees for the 2016 Kerrang Awards – are heading back to the UK for a set of brand new live shows. These follow their last raucous performance at London’s 100 Club in November last year, which sold out in just five minutes.
The dates will see the band return to the capital to lay waste to Camden’s Dingwalls, as well as hometown shows in both Bristol and Derby, where the band collectively originate from. The run will end in Scotland where they’ll be appearing at this year’s T In The Park Festival alongside the likes of The Stone Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The 1975 and many more.
UK TOUR DATES July 5th – London, Dingwalls July 6th – Bristol, Thekla July 7th – Derby, The Venue July 9th – Perthshire, T In The Park Festival
In tandem with the new UK shows, the band have also revealed their stunning versatility with a stripped back performance of their latest single ‘Kiss This’, shot in the US, which can be seen HERE.
Everybody Wants, the debut album from The Struts, is out now on Polydor/Interscope Records. The album has already received critical acclaim from the likes of Kerrang, Classic Rock, Daily Star, The Sun (Scotland) and many more whilst the band are fast-becoming showbiz favourites due to the burgeoning romance between bassist Jed Elliot and Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall.
The band are currently tearing apart America, lighting up the airwaves and selling out shows across the country. They’re on a mission to bring back the glories of rock and roll. In a recent feature with leading US entertainment publication, Interview Magazine, frontman Luke Spiller said “Things that seemed quite far away, almost unachievable, have suddenly become reachable. It gives you the confidence to push yourself and carry on doing what you're doing. The States have helped massively in that. Radio has embraced us. We've done live television. We've done sold out performances across the country.”
It’s no surprise that The Struts’ headline shows have been huge successes. They are a riotously exciting live band, full of vaudevillian onstage theatrics and peerless musicianship, who have built up a fervent British fanbase alongside their new-found American fame through non-stop touring and support slots with the likes of The Rolling Stones and Mötley Crüe.
