The national singing competition Open Mic UK has found its latest winner! Joining a long line of prestigious Future Music competition winners, Lola Young from Beckenham, London has been crowned the champion of the national Open Mic UK competition at The NEC in Birmingham!
Lola Young was crowned champion in front of a capacity crowd and a prestigious music industry judging panel at The NEC in Birmingham on Saturday night. Her original song called “Never Enough” won over the competition industry judges making him the overall winner of Open Mic UK.

The national singing competition is brought to you by Future Music - the company behind the discovery of so many top UK acts. Artists such as such as Jacob Banks, Lucy Spraggan, Union J’s Jaymi Hensley, Luke Friend and Karen Harding have all been previous past winners or participated in the competitions. And of course the first ever Open Mic UK winner, currently just about to release her third Album Warner Music’s Birdy.

Having beaten over 9,000 entrants this is an exciting start to 2016 for Lola! Also amongst other accolades she is currently a contentant on the CBBC show 'Got What It Takes', and also attends the Brit School where previous artists such as Adele and Jessie J have been harvested.
