STEALTH DEBUT EP RELEASED MARCH 25th

Neo-soul newcomer Stealth has unveiled a stunning unplugged rendition of his debut single ‘Intro’. The intimate session with Birmingham’s new vocal powerhouse premiered at Tenement TV who said, “Blessed with an incredibly imposing and versatile vocal style, Stealth has been making considerable waves within the UK’s music scene in recent months and has expertly moulded himself into a hot prospect for the coming year…

“Setting out with powerful and gripping acoustic guitar, ‘Intro’ sees Stealth summon the intangible magnetism of great blues singers such as Paul Rodgers and Robert Plant all the while contextualising it within today’s modern music landscape. Stripping away the ambient textures of the track’s original incarnation in favour of a stripped back yet equally riveting approach, this acoustic version is demonstrative of all the promise that he’s shown and epitomises why everyone from BBC Introducing to Music Week have championed him so fervently.”

‘Intro’ is the title track of Stealth’s upcoming debut EP, due for release through on March 25th through Tileyard Records. The brooding first encounter to Intro is awash with the classic blues influences of Howlin’ Wolf and the captivating modern soul sentiments of Hozier or James Bay, matched with the serrated edge of Plan B and The Weeknd. Its dark piano stabs pave the way for a pounding rhythmic heartbeat over which breaths the rich tones of Stealth.

Stealth has risen to prominence as one of the most sought after voices in dance music. He has featured on the collaboration between drum & bass heavyweights Netsky Vs. Metrik with ‘Can’t Speak’, the latest output from producer extraordinaire Nitin Sawhney‘When I’m Gone’, and has become a Radio 1/1Xtra favourite from his work with Roger Sanchez on ‘Remember Me’ and the fiery ‘Fearless’ with Drumsound & Bassline Smith. He’s been carving a distinct mark of his own with ‘Intro’, leaving an increasing imprint on the London live scene. This year Stealth has already sold out a headline show at Servant Jazz Quarters, supported the likes of Jamie Woon, Zella Day and Tiggs Da Author and played the taste-making Zermatt Unplugged Festival, Zurich. Stealth is a rare new vocal talent, cutting above the rest. This formidable and dexterous new voice is a serious one to watch for 2016.

“A quality piece of work” – Shortlist “You might not know the name Stealth… but you soon will” – Red Bull Music “It’s a very strong debut… we’re very excited to see what else is to come in the future” -FAULT “Penetrative and a reinvigoration of the neo-soul style” – Gigwise
