Announcing the latest single from Edinburgh’s champions of all things bluegrass, Old Dollar Bill - Mr Kohl is out on Friday May 20th. A good-time jam in the band’s inimitable style, the lyrics are an affectionate celebration of the work of local tattoo artist Jeff Kohl. The band take up the story...“We met Jeff at one of our gigs, immediately hit it off and he has been an avid supporter of the band since – we even played at his wedding reception! Later we approached him with the idea of designing our official Old Dollar Bill band t-shirt. We’re delighted with the result and his innovative style has proved a hit with fans.
We recently filmed an episode of our Youtube series “Bluegrass Meets…” at his
studio, Hotter Than Hell Tattoo. On the evening there was an invited audience of friends and clients of the studio, all of whom were surprised when we showcased our newest song dedicated to Jeff and his studio... ‘Mr Kohl’!
