THE JEZABELS‘PLEASURE DRIVE’ ZERO PERCENT REMIX REVEALED

The Jezabels have unveiled the official remix of ‘Pleasure Drive’ by Zero Percent. The extended mix premiered with Clash where they described it, “Twitching, frisky disco music with a noir edge, this new version of ‘Pleasure Drive’ would work in a dimly lit, atmospheric club, while the subtle tones and intricate production makes for superb headphone listening.” The remix is the very first release from Zero Percent, the brand new project from one half of the multi-award winning industrial house duo The Presets’ Kim Moyes, and leading Australian DJ and Haul Music label founder Mike Callander. LISTEN TO THE ‘PLEASURE DRIVE’ REMIX HERE ‘Pleasure Drive’ is the latest single to be taken from The Jezabels’ third album Synthia, released last month. The video for the dark synth-rock single plays like Chrissie Hynde starring in an episode of True Blood and sees frontwoman Hayley Mary cast a spell of sensual gothic pop as the cast is overcome by the haunting grip of lust. Synthia sees the quartet bringing a potent message of feminine empowerment. Celebrating the female it’s as inspired by ‘80s pop goddess Cyndi Lauper as it is by feminist handbook The Heroine's Journey.
